Peugeot's annual safe motoring competition is aimed at reducing the numbers of drivers who get convicted for road accidents.
The third annual Coventry and Warwickshire Young Driver of the Year award has this week gone to a teenager who received a Peugeot 107 for demonstrating ideal road security techniques.
Winner Scott Brook, 18, said he was pleased to have been able to call attention to the cause of sensible motoring.
"I don't think you are ever too young or too old to learn more and become a safe and better driver," he explained.
Peugeot managing director Jon Goodman commented: "If this initiative prevents one accident or serious injury it will be worth our three-year investment in younger drivers."
Also collaborating with the company in the competition is the Institute of Advanced Motorists and local county councils.
Motorists aged 17 to 21 who are interested in taking on board advice and guidance from the sponsors on safe driving are eligible to enter the annual event.
