A self-confessed lover of classic cars has managed to gets his hands on a 1947 Austin 8 for Christmas.
The car, which featured in the ITV series Doctor Finlay in the 1990s, was bought by Warren Allinson of Halifax, who usually drives a Renault Clio.
He told the Halifax Courier that the car is the "best Christmas present I could have" and said he has plans to restore it and hire it out to TV companies.
"When I heard that the car had been on TV my first thought was 'wow'. To be honest I hadn't bought the car for that reason, so it was a bonus."
"In the past I have had a 1970 Morris Traveller, a 1962 Ford Classic and 1958 Ford Anglia. This one will be kept in a Halifax garage and I am hoping to be able to restore it to its former glory."
The Austin 8 was launched in 1939 and the last models were produced in 1947.
