People who are passionate about the kind of autos that require classic car insurance were treated to an amazing spectacle over the weekend, it has been claimed.
Organisers of the Le Mans Legend said this year's event was better than ever, with a grid of 61 vintage vehicles fighting to take podium positions.
A range of marques took part in the event, including Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar and Aston Martin.
Duncan Wiltshire from Motor Racing Legends said the ninth edition of the challenge was one of the best ever.
He stated there were no serious collisions "just plenty of dramatic, high-speed racing and the competitors' all-out determination to win".
Ferrari took first and third spot, while Jaguar scooped second.
All the cars that participated were built between 1949 and 1965.
Earlier this year, Motor Racing Legends claimed the recession had not impacted upon the number of people keen to take part in antique auto competitions.
