Why businesses could secure a low carbon Toyota model

Low emissions Toyota models such as the Prius or Verso could be at the top of motorists' shopping lists this year, after Which? acknowledged the vehicles as part of its Best Buy recommendations.

The former has a carbon emissions output of between 89 and 92 grams per kilometre, which may attract the attention of buyers across the UK.

Overall, the model achieved a 90 per cent satisfaction rating among drivers polled by the publication.

In addition, the Verso edition was highlighted for its versatile interior - including seven seats - and standards of passenger comfort.

The vehicles were subjected to a testing programme before being acknowledged by the consumer organisation.

According to the manufacturer, the Prius has undergone significant changes in recent years, with the latest version cutting fuel consumption by more than 23 per cent in comparison with previous motors.

The range has also seen its power levels rise by 30 per cent.
