Businesses concerned with their carbon footprint may like to purchase a model from the Saab 9-3 line as the manufacturer claims to benefit from an across-the-range CO2 emissions reduction of ten per cent.
But this is not all that is impressive about these cars - the advanced twin turbo diesels boast a CO2 output of just 119 g/km, while other efficiency measures include revised gear ratios, recalibrated engine management and low rolling resistance tyres.
"Saab engineers have delivered class-leading diesel performance following an 18-month development program which focused on achieving an average 12 percent reduction in fuel consumption and CO2," it was observed.
Other attractions include Bluetooth phone integration, heated front seats and a change-up indicator to encourage more economical driving.
This comes after Saab GB announced its relocation of its head offices to Milton Keynes' Martell House, next door to Cranfield University, a postgraduate centre for engineering, technology and aerospace.
