More companies may be tempted to start searching for business car insurance for a Mazda model after hearing the comments of the manufacturer.
The group suggested the Mazda3 could be a great choice for those firms keen to reduce costs.
It pointed out the model qualifies for certain tax benefits because its CO2 emissions are below 160 g/km.
The manufacturer also drew attention to the fact the car is expected to retain up to 35 per cent of its original value after three years or 60,000 miles meaning owners could make a significant amount of money when the time comes to sell.
Mazda stated, in terms of residual prices, the model is ahead of rivals like the Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra, Toyota Auris and Renault Megane.
Fleet and remarketing director Peter Allibon stated: "Mazda3 represents a fantastic cost-effective alternative to the perceived mainstream models in the lower medium sector."
Alternatively, businesses may want to consider the Mazda2 the seventh best-selling vehicle in Scotland during April.
