Don't let potholes lead to a business insurance claim

Potholes can make driving hazardous and potentially lead to business insurance claims if an accident occurs.

However, one industry group is urging people to take extra care on the roads, given the currently terrible weather conditions.

Potholes.co.uk's Duncan McClure Fisher said ice and snow have created more potholes and provided another danger motorists need to watch out for.

Deborah Hill is a driver from Durham and also commented, stating how £290 worth of damage was caused when she hit one of these obstacles.

"The wheel had gouges round the rim and my local garage revealed that it had knocked the tracking out completely and I had to replace the wheel," she added.

Corporate journeys crucial regardless of the weather should factor in weather warnings and fleet bosses may want to check the Met Office's site regularly over the next few days.

The organisation issued severe warnings for the majority of the country today (January 5th).
