One car that may be on the radar of business insurance customers is the Mitsubishi i-MiEV.
The manufacturer has revealed that the vehicle will be available to consumers from £28,990 for orders placed before January 1st 2011.
It may represent an ideal opportunity for environmentally responsible motorists to get their hands on a model that ticks all the boxes in terms of efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Lance Bradley, UK managing director for the brand, discussed some of the edition's perceived strengths.
He said when it comes to electric motoring, "customers need not compromise in any area".
Regarding the i-MiEV, he explained: "It has been designed deliberately as a small, compact, true city car with the ability to nip in and out of traffic."
In 2011, the company will take orders for the first deliveries of the model.
Meanwhile, a recent study by the West Midlands-based CABLED project found that electric vehicle drivers use their motors in a similar way to conventional car users.
