26. August 2011

Duesenberg SJ Mormon Meteor at Pebble Beach Councourse d'EleganceThere have been some mind boggling car designs over the years, some we are all familiar with, and some we aren't. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2011 is a place where you can have your mind very easily boggled.

Held on August 17th this year, 2011 saw this 61st concourse being a place to celebrate 125 years of motoring, and a display of 22 Ferrari 250 GTOs celebrated the automobile's 50th anniversary as did Jaguar's E-Type.

This year's event was co-sponsored by Mecedes Benz who, in keeping with the 125 years of motoring theme, had an exceptionally old 1886 Benz Patent Motor Wagen Replica on display.

I am struggling to actually think of a better setting for a car show,More...

Porsche Targa - Halfway House Or Genius Design?

Porsche 911 Targa from 1968 - image from theaircooledguys.comQuite simply, for this week at least, I've found my new favourite car. Porsche certainly didn't want to fall foul of the lucrative US market.More...
